Ticino Nocino Walnut Liqueur
Nocino is the liqueur of green walnuts, a family recipe found throughout Ticino. Ticinorganic makes it in two versions: traditional Nocino and wood-aged Nocino Barrique.
What is nocino?
Traditionally, nocino is made from walnuts that are still green, husk and all, steeped in alcohol with sugar and spices. The result is a dark, aromatic liqueur with a slightly bitter finish, usually served as a digestif.
